COntaCam is a powerful and free source image and video viewer/editor for Windows and includes such functions as security surveillance and live webcam monitoring. It has a sensitive motion detection algorithm with the option to send notification via FTP, email etc. With an integrated web server the program allows remote watching by enabling port forwarding. You can also add unlimited parallel cameras with support for Webcams, WDM, DV devices and Network cameras (IP cameras). Additionally, it can be used for screen capture and video recording during video games, movies etc.
