MKVToolnix is a cross platform toolkit for editing mkv (Matroska) files. You can import a large array of video formats, process them, and convert to mkv. For instance, you can import video and subtitles into the program and mux them together. Similarly, you can split any components of a video file and edit or remove them. You can break apart large video files into smaller pieces and vice versa. It has a very simple interface and all functions are intuitive and easy to use for any user.
