FreeNet is a free peer to peer network that provides secure and private communication and file sharing with utte anonymity and without censorship. The platform adopts a decentralized data storage and sharing mechanism whereby each user shares a portion of bandwidth and hard disk storage thus making it virtually impossible to hack or censor the network. The platform also comes with a complete suite of freeware applications such as browsers, chat and file sharing clients so users can have a ready tool for all communication needs. It works in two modes; Opennet, where you can interact with any user or Darknet, which is communicating only with friends with whom you have shared public keys.
