AVZ is a powerful and a free antivirus. The program was developed by Russian specialist Oleg Zaitsev, who worked for several years in the Kaspersky Lab. Some of the technology and developments in AVZ have been used in the Kaspersky too. AVZ is engaged in the heuristic analysis of running processes in the operating system and checks them for suspicious spyware or virus codes. It is especially good at finding different worms, rootkits, Trojans and dialers. After finding the infected files it treats them or removes them if treatment fails. If desired it can generate reports on the results of the system scan.
