FileTypesMan 1.72

FileTypesMan is a powerful application that analyzes files on your hard drive according to their types and extensions. It has a simple user interface with dual pane windows to display file extensions and types currently on your drive. For each type you can view such info as name, description, MIME type, flags etc and the second pane lists their associated files. You can then edit file extensions and rename them in batch mode utilizing its command line options. The program may be easy to use but due to the sensitive nature of file extensions any changes must be left for advanced and experienced users to avoid premature changes to system files.
