Microsoft Silverlight is web development tool for creating interactive internet media such as animations, graphics and HD videos as well as Flash videos. It can be seen as a sompetitor to Adobe Flash. You can create contents using several programming languages such as Visual Basic and C#. SIlverlight must be installed on your browser before it can be viewed. Its plugins are supported by most browsers. Having said all these Adobe Flash and Adobe Air are still the dominant forces in web based interactive contents.
