FreeCommander is an advanced file manager and a replacement for the standard Windows file manager. It provides more flexible commands and tools for file viewing, editing etc and boasts a better and more sophisticated user interface. It hosts a dual pane that facilitates drag and drop of files but also allows to actively compare and contrast contents. You can run the program using DOS command line interface and you can rename and edit file in a batch mode as well. The program also has a built in viewer of text and image files.
