Greenshot is a convenient and portable screen capture software with an open source code available for developers. It provides most standard screen capture functions with support for custom region capture, scrolling capture, active window capture, provides many editing and annotating tools after capture and allows easy sharing options by email or online image services such as Flickr and Picasa. You might as well just save it on your local drive. The program is available from the system tray with an easy menu or from hotkeys and keyboard shortcuts.
