Areca Backup is a very convenient Java based backup manager with many flexible and useful functions. It allows multiple module backups such as differential (only the updated files), incremental (difference relative to last backup), full backup and Delta backup, which copies only the modifications made to a file (for advanced users). In addition backup can be encrypted with AES 256 and compressed into ZIP archives for convenience. You can filter file parameters such as size, extension, date etc before backup and automate backups using command line scripting facility. You can always track file history such as creation, modification and deletion and use this information to restore data as of specific date points, not just most recent date. The program prints backup log and detailed reports or send them automatically to specified email.
