StarCodec is a small and lightweight codec pack that provides all necessary audio and video codecs for casual use. Its video codecs include H.264/AVC, XviD, MPEG-4, DivX, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MJPEG, WebM, audio includes MP3, OGG, AC3, DTS, AAC, FLAC with additional subtitle support for AVI/MP4/MKV/MOV/FLV/RM support, FourCC Changer, MediaInfo etc. The program is easy to install and allows choosing which codecs to install and which to omit. It provides a Lite version for slower computers as opposed to the Classic version which may include less frequently used codecs as well. When installing the program make sure to remove previously installed codecs so as to avoid crashes in the future.
