Google Earth is a virtual globe with satellite imagery, maps and photos for almost any location on Earth. It can provide users with a bird's eye view of cities and streets as well 3D coverage of buildings and places. It is a very good alternative to online maps providing also information on the altitude of the location. You can either navigate to a specific location using the mouse or just type it in the search bar. Most locations are also accompanied with actual photos contributed by people and Google street view. Although the zooming capabilities and resolution are limited and leave much to be desired for, Google Earth is still a recommended interactive navigation tool.
