Stellarium is a software for viewing the night sky and exploring the known universe and most of its planets, stars and other objects. It is a fun and interactive way to visualize interstellar objects, learn about major phenomena such as eclipses and see artistic depictions of constellations from different cultures around the world. It facilitates many viewing modes and options and even provides reference points other than the Earth, such as viewing the night sky from other planets. It supports many external plugins artificial satellites, ocular simulation, Solar System editor, telescope control etc and allows adding your own objects.
