Origin is an online gaming, digital distribution and digital rights management (DRM) platform from Electronic Arts for gamers. Put it in simpler terms, it is an online cloud facility for browsing and purchasing games but also storing all your games. This software is the official client for the online platform. You can create a profile and interact with other gamers much like a social network and more importantly you can upload existing CD games with retail license key from 2009 onwards to have an online library with guaranteed, unlimited and fast downloads every time you want to install a game. Origin is easily integrable with other networks such as Facebook, Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, Nintendo etc. It is supported on mobile devices as well and comes in many languages.
