K-Lite Codec Pack is a set of DirectShow filters, VFW/ACM codecs and other tools. As you know codecs and filters are essential for playing audio and video files. K-Lite Codec Pack was developed to play all popular audio and video formats as well as many lesser known formats. All the components in the Pack have been carefully chosen for specific tasks and are constantly updated to feature all the latest components. It is quite flexible too. For instance you can set your preferred decoders and splitters. When uninstalling it all program parts are deleted, including registry keys, so the computer returns to its preinstallation state.
