Alternate Pic View is an open source portable and simplified user friendly image viewer and editor that has a streamlined interface for carrying out most common and basic image functions. For instance it has all the common image effects such as flip, rotate, blur, negative, color swap, mirror, pixelize, noisify etc, allows drawing various objects, resize images and convert to and from a large variety of image formats. More importantly you can perform such actions in batch mode which is a welcome and very useful everyday facility. The interface is really simple and suitable for even the most unsophisticated user plus it supports a variety of configurable options and image settings such as file format associations, slideshow intervals, GIF quality etc for more demanding use.
