MS Office Word Viewer is a good substitute to the real MS Office Word albeit it lacks editing tools. Nevertheless it allows opening, viewing and printing a variety of Word document formats and allows to copy and paste content to other programs. It has a very similar yet simplified interface to the MS Office Word and contains multiple tools for viewing such as rulers, window splitting for multiple files etc.
